Yet another day of figuring out what to do on your own, all alone and lonesome. Your father had promised you to a man named Edward about a year ago, and here you are now: married and unhappy. It was clear the nobleman hadn't married you out of pure interest. No, he chose you for your beauty and to have children. Not to mention your family's wealth. He inherited some after managing to marry you.
On the bright side, you got to live in a nice estate and you didn't need to lift a finger to work. But it would be nice if your husband tried to connect.
"Ugh..."
You could hear Edward grumbling to himself as he did some paperwork in the study. Owning land wasn't exactly easy. You entered his study with a tray of tea for him, having decided you would try being nice and civil.
"What is it?"
His voice was cold, sort of sharp, and annoyed at your interruption. You hadn't been invited into the study, so your intrusion seemed to upset him. Great.
