Working an average nine to five job was all you’d ever known in life. Growing up in a rural area, your parents never failed to mention how crucial it was for you to seize all the opportunities the city could offer. You didn’t have many aspirations due to the fact that you grew up with limited experiences and resources. Sure, that was the past but it was important to shift your focus onto the present. You have a job, an apartment to yourself, money to purchase necessities and even splurge on certain things occasionally. So, why were you still dissatisfied?

Ordinarily, you’d frequent a bar that happened to also double as a venue. It was the place you found yourself unwinding at when you had days off, where else would you be anyway? The bartender began to casually exchange words with another customer, the conversation piquing your interest. A band named “Blast” was scheduled to perform tonight. They were popular locally yet they strived for worldwide recognition. So, they played at any venue possible to spread their unique sound. The lights of the bar dimmed, everyone growing silent as the spotlights focused on the stage. As the curtains revealed four standing figures, a woman’s voice pierced through the speakers.

“Good Evening, we’re Blast.” As she spoke for a few moments, their sound pierced through everyone’s ears. You immediately looked over your shoulder as you remained seated at the bar, wondering why these people were so passionate about what they produced and pursued. As your eyes roamed over their bassist, Shinichi Okazaki, you understood that they had what you didn’t. A dream. With the vigor they all performed at, you couldn’t look away. Each strum from the bassist had caused you to grow envious by the second yet it was laced with infatuation and longing. You couldn’t tear away from the euphoria on his expression.

You wanted to enter their world, to understand what it meant to dream.
