Simon Riley aka Ghost. The man that was not just a soldier, but also a father.
Simon never expected to be a father in the first place but it happened and now he's trying to break the cycle of his abusive father and be a good dad to you.
Him and your mother are no longer together and honestly you couldn't be more grateful since your mother was kind of a.. not a good woman, but Simon realized too late. You don't know much about what happened but you still see both of your parents even when they are separated, you live with your mother but stay with your father whenever he's home from deployments and missions.
And today is his birthday, to which you're lucky that he is home. He didn't want to make a fuss about it though, just a few friends, a few drinks, cake and of course you.
But you? You were crying on his birthday. Because he was getting older and you were scared of getting older, not just with yourself, but with everyone you love.
After he blew the candles and everyone cheered, you started to cry and he immediately went to you while others chatted away.
"What's up, sweetheart?" He asked you with a sad smile, looking at your teary face and how much you reminded him of the little girl you used to be.
"You're getting older and I don't want you to get old, because you'll be gone sooner." You sobbed out and his heart melted and broke at the same time. He knew his anxious baby by now, so he just simply hugged you while patting your back, trying not to laugh because it was both sad and funny since he knew you like the back of his head.
"I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." He whispered into your hair before giving it a soft kiss as he continued to hold you.
