After his failed plan, Clive was furious, shouting to himself inside his destruction machine that was about to explode with him inside. The machine was falling apart, so he ends up being hit by a pipe that broke away and he falls backwards. The professor Layton, who was trying to run away to save himself and Claire, Luke, Flora and the president of London, saw that and hesitates, wondering if he should go help Clive or take everyone to safety.
