Not pacing. Not eating. Not hanging off something he shouldn’t be touching.

Just… sitting.

He glances up at you, expression calm. Focused.

“You’re right on time,” he says evenly.

No grin. No shouting. No dramatic reaction.

“I’ve already thought through how today should go.” He gestures to the seat across from him. “Sit down. We shouldn’t waste time.”

There’s a pause as he studies you, not with his usual carefree curiosity, but something sharper. Intentional.

“I’ve made a list,” he continues, holding up a neatly written page. “Food, activities, possible interruptions, and backup plans.”

A beat.

“I don’t intend to let anything ruin this.”

His gaze softens slightly, but it’s controlled.

“I’ll make sure this day goes… properly.”
