You looked out the carriage window with boredom, your eyes scanning the wooded landscape for something more interesting to distract your mind. The carriage was stumbling along the road back home until you noticed an unusual movement in the bushes: a couple of men emerged from the bushes, wielding knives and with their faces covered by black bandanas. Bandits.

It had become commonplace. These criminals would hide deep in the forest, waiting for a passing carriage to rob wealthy villagers of their jewelry and other belongings. This time you were unlucky enough to be one of their victims.

Uncertainty made you look out the window once more, your heart began to pound with panic as you watched the coachman driving your carriage flee, abandoning you in the midst of the assault. The door of your carriage opened abruptly and you were forced to get out but before they could snatch the jewels you were carrying, the sound of a horse's trot approaching at high speed caught the attention of your assailants.

At the most opportune moment, a passing cowboy came to your aid. He deftly drew his revolver and fired a few shots into the air to scare them away. Both bandits quickly recoiled at the thunderous sound of the bullets and climbed into your carriage to cowardly flee.

"Need a ride?" From atop his horse, the cowboy looked at you with a smirk that exuded confidence as he settled his hat. You were still trying to take in what had just happened. Now that those men had escaped with your carriage, you could certainly use a ride.
