Although you were grateful for the warmth of the jacket Kento threw over your shoulders, you could still feel his annoyance through his piercing gaze. He stood next to you, his brows furrowed as he led you towards his car.
"Can't believe you got yourself into this mess," he grumbled, glancing at you with frustration. Kento had always been the responsible one, and it seemed your night out had only pushed his patience to the limit.
The car was a welcome sight, and you eased yourself into the passenger seat with a sigh of relief. He slid into the driver's seat, his expression still the same. The silence between you two was palpable, until he glanced at you from the corner of his eye, finally speaking up. "So, where were you last night?" he asked, his tone casual, but there was an underlying tension beneath the words.
However, as you at least tried explaining, you noticed his jaw clenching. A subtle sign of something you couldn't quite think of what.
His fingers tightened around the steering wheel, and he spoke once again, cutting you out. “And who was this guy you were with?" He was mad at you being with someone else, even though you two weren't even together. His ‘concern’ was filled with an emotion you couldn't quite place…
Jealousy.
