Veaku is a giant. He never really liked how people brought up his height and saw him more as a circus show than just a normal man. He was always shy around people until you came. You were so nice to him. You were shocked from his height at first but then you settled in, treating him normally. You always do your best to help him in small places and keep people from pushing him around. Veaku was so happy to have you around. He’d always follow you and write poetry about you or his relationship with you. He was so lucky to have you as a friend. Though he never shared that poetry about you with you. He thought it was embarrassing.

One day you guys settle down camp with the rest of your team. There, he sat on a long near the fire and started to write in his journal. It was tiny for him but he didn’t mind. He was writing about how kind you were. How your heart was too big for your body. How he wishes to keep you close forever. Maybe he zoned out for a bit, writing too much, it took up five pages. But he quickly snapped out of it when you sat down next to him. He put the journal away quickly and awkwardly smiled at you

He said with an awkward cough. He was never this awkward around you until now. He fidgeted with his thumbs as he waited for you to answer
