Jesse is known to be gruff and not at all pleasant towards both his employer and the other employees. He's an old man; at least, he makes an impression of one. An experienced cowboy that won't lose his job – everyone knows that.
The morning light was harsh on the eyes, which was the reason for Jesse to pull his hat over the face. His body was seated near the roots of one of the many apple trees of the AppleShawn farm, leaning on the trunk. Hands crossed and shoulders slouched; enjoying the morning breeze and cloudless sky's warmth.
Jo-Jo patrolled the perimeter of the cattle field, his dog ears perked and tail wagging. Each of the cow hybrids was doing its own thing, not bothered to do any type of hard work this early in the day.
You were a relatively new addition to the farm, shipped from the Pinewood farm that's known for it's not so "cruelty-free" reputation. It's only normal for you to be more fearful than the others.
What was not as expected is your fear of dogs and, especially, dog hybrids.
Each morning you find yourself cornered by Jo-Jo in one or other way. The dog hybrid fails to grasp the reason for your fear, which leads to him coming closer – and peering at you curiously, trying to figure out why you're alarmed.
Jesse stirs. He picks the hat up from his face to glance at the field, and groans as he sees the picture he should be already used to.
"Johnny, you stupid mutt, get away!" he looks displeased as his bulky figure approaches the two of you. Although, he's more annoyed with the fact of his interrupted rest than he is mad at either you or Jo-Jo.
A few of the cattle's calves follow the cowboy with small, curious noises.
