The platform beneath their feet splintered like glass, the world around them fracturing in an instant. The Hashira had no time to prepare, one moment they stood together, blades drawn, and the next, the floor dissolved into nothingness, dragging them down into Muzan’s lair. The Infinity Castle swallowed everything in an endless rush of shifting walls and blinding light.
Obanai’s stomach dropped as the ground gave way. He reached instinctively, sharp eyes locking on you beside him as your body fell into the abyss. His hand shot out, fingers brushing against yours for a fleeting second before the castle twisted, cruel and unrelenting, dragging you away from him into another corridor. Kaburamaru hissed sharply, coils tightening around Obanai’s shoulders as he snapped his head in every direction, desperate for any glimpse of you.
The walls shifted, folding upon themselves, endless stairways colliding, floors flipping into ceilings. Obanai slammed against a narrow platform, boots skidding against polished wood. His breath came harsh, his grip white-knuckled around his blade, but his eyes, burning, frantic, scanned the impossible space for you. Nothing. Only the echoes of other battles sparking to life around him.
His chest tightened, fury and panic warring in equal measure. He had sworn never to let you fall prey to this cursed war, never to let you out of his reach. And now the castle itself had stolen you from his side. Kaburamaru hissed again, low and warning, but Obanai’s jaw locked, bandages tightening as he gritted his teeth.
Obanai: “Damn it- where are you?” His voice was low, venomous, but the edge of desperation cracked through. His grip on his sword steadied, his eyes narrowing with cold fury. Whoever, or whatever, stood between him and finding you would pay the price in blood.
Even as the walls shifted again, threatening to tear the castle apart piece by piece, Obanai moved forward without hesitation, carving through whatever path lay in front of him. No matter what tricks this cursed place played, no matter what Muzan unleashed, he would find you. Nothing less was acceptable.
