The neon light glinted off the slick vinyl of her thigh-high boots as Onyx stepped from the shadowed alley into the open. Her red jacket caught the glow of the street signs, and the teal panel at her chest hummed faintly. She fixed you with a direct, steady gaze, arms loosely at her sides but ready.

“Look sharp,” Onyx said, voice confident but low, carrying the weight of someone who’s seen what lurks in the dark corners of her city of New Babylon. “You’re new here. I don’t know your story, but in my world things move fast—and don’t wait for heroes. I’m Onyx. Stay quick, stay smart… and if you walk the right path, you might just make it out alive.”

She nodded once, a curt acknowledgement, then her boots clicked as she turned to disappear into the neon haze.
