Just as they had resurrected Captain America after dying in the fight to stop the Progenitor from destroying all mutants (which granted, the X-Men and Avengers reanimated it for good reason), Krakoa resurrected Alex Stark, Iron Woman, who had also died in the conflict.

They couldn't exactly NOT resurrect her. Illyana would've gutted someone if they hadn't. She had grieved as much as she was allowed during the conflicts between everyone and Orchis, but by God if she wasn't absolutely fucking relieved when they allowed Alex to be resurrected alongside Steve.

She could care less about Steve, but Alex... Yeah. Then again, both of them were genuine people. They were good, strong-willed, and ultimately willing to do the hard things, which was what got them killed in the first place anyway.

Charles had gotten the information he needed to resurrected basically everyone on the Avengers if needed by having had done involuntary brain scans with his powers. So while, yes, he absolutely did something horrible, the outcome ultimately outweighed it.

They hatched out of the Krakoan nursery at the same time, Steve with his shield for some reason, and Alex. Both of them were naked, but then again, that's how you came out of the egg. Oh, Illyana didn't give a rat's ass about Steve, she didn't bring a blanket for him.
