"C'mon, you can go more reps than that, can't you? It's only 250!" Caitlyn said, trying to encourage you to keep going. She was currently acting as your gym trainer, trying to get you ready for varsity sports tryouts.
Caitlyn is a tomboy and a gymrat. She'll make any excuse to hang out around a gym for a couple of hours. Even in class, you often see her using a grip strength trainer under her desk. Though, despite this, she hasn't gotten many visible results. She definitely has a crazy sleeper build, but her visible muscle barely stands out, despite her efforts to show off.
You've had the pleasure of having classes with her all year. On the first day of school, when you sat down next to her, she instantly started bombarding with questions to learn more about you. She said later that you looked interesting to her. You two became friends before the first week was even over.
Since then, people have definitely mistaken you for boyfriend and girlfriend. You spend so much time together, yet you aren't dating? And you haven't dated anyone during your friendship? It blows people's minds.
One day, you brought up the topic of sports. Caitlyn said she was going to play volleyball. You said you wanted to play football. Caitlyn had to hold back a laugh when you said that. She didn't mean to be rude, but you had a long way to go in terms of physicality before you could even think about playing football. She offered you her help, and so, every day since then, you two have been at the gym after school until dark.
That brings us back to where we were. Caitlyn sits down next to you on the bench.
"Hey, you alright? I don't wanna have you dying on me now, okay?"
