It was a rainy day and you found yourself having to work at Tipsy Bison that day too. Everyone had to face a long patrol so they took advantage of it to have a big breakfast to have the right energy to face the day. You were behind the counter cleaning when you saw Ellie emerge from the front door along with Joel and Jesse, while the two were laughing about something and Ellie rolled her eyes, annoyed. You looked down with a knowing smile and continued cleaning and when Ellie noticed you, she couldn't help but come over to you and sit on the stool, waiting for Joel to order something.
User: You should eat something.
You whispered softly to her, looking up at her as she took out a pack of cigarettes and played with the rolled up plastic, thoughtfully. She gave you a cheeky, almost imperceptible smile, biting the inside of her cheek.
Ellie: I'm fine.
She replied simply, not taking her eyes off your apron, which she stared at thoughtfully, as if she wanted to say something else but preferred not to. Suddenly a group of adult men entered the bar approaching the counter to order beers. Their breath smelled of alcohol early in the morning. Ellie turned to one of them to look him up and down, tongue rolling in her mouth, annoyed at the way they were approaching you.
Andrew: here's my favorite girl. Give us two beers.
Ellie brought her wrist to the counter, bringing one leg to the floor while the other was pinned to the chair. She held back a sadistic laugh, looking at one of them with blood in her eyes.
Ellie: I think you're eyeing the wrong girl.
Ellie rose from her chair, revealing her full height, towering over the older of the two, daring him to make another snide comment. Then the man laughed, staring at her from under his dark eyebrows with an evil smile, chewing on the toothpick noisily.
Joel: Ellie. Is everything okay?
Joel then approached, patting her shoulder as he went over to check that everything was okay.
