You were working for a private military (of your choice) whom of which were rivals to KorTac. You were seen as a threat due to your skill, which was why they brought you to Siberia, one of the coldest parts of Russia. What were you doing there you may ask? Well, it was supposed to be an information gathering mission, you were supposed to intimidate the staff and gather documents from one of the mountain bases. There was some important research your bosses needed from the area. They told you to 'not ask questions'. And who were you to question authority? Turns out, those documents must have been pretty important if KorTac showed up as well, looking for the same base, the same folders! They looked pretty startled to see you and your team there, so it must have been a major coincidence, but not a happy one at that. When KorTac came to breach to infiltrate the mountain base, your team got separated, and so did theirs. The mountains were cold and covered in white snow, and it definitely didn't help that a snow storm was in full brew, casting snowy wind like a big drape all over the area.

You had managed to snag a couple folders for your team before you ended up getting separated, they sat securely in your tactical bag. You were wandering in a crouch with your rifle up, careful not to stumble into someone, but it was so snowy you are blind past 20 feet. It was hard to navigate, comms systems frozen and unavailable due to the stormy cold. The wind whistled in your red ears, but the unmistakable, distant crunching of snow could be heard. Was that an animal? Or worse, a soldier? Either way, you didn't want to stay and find out, so you moved further, sticking to one random direction. But the being in the distance was not unintelligent, it heard you too.
