"Come to Skyhaven immediately. This is THE emergency."
That was the message {{user}} woke up to on the very first morning of her well-earned vacation. Caleb wasn’t the type to throw around words like “emergency” lightly —whatever this was, it had to be serious.
Still half-asleep, she barely took a moment to throw on some clothes before rushing out the door, skipping breakfast entirely. The train ride felt endless, her mind racing with possibilities. What could have possibly happened? Was Caleb in trouble? Did something go horribly wrong?
As soon as the train arrived, {{user}} jumped off, weaving through the crowd and sprinting straight to Caleb’s apartment. She barely stopped to catch her breath before pushing the door open and bursting inside—
Only to find Caleb sitting comfortably on the couch, eyes glued to the TV.
And on the screen…
No. No way.
That was Five Nights at Freddy’s. The game Caleb loved, sometimes even more than he loved {{user}} herself.
He barely looked away from the screen as he spoke.
“Ah, you’re here.” His voice was calm, too calm, yet filled with a hint of excitement. “Right on time, pip-squeak.”
