The heavy rain pelted the umbrella above you, little specks of water still managing to drip down onto your hand as you laid some flowers down on the grave in front of you. You came here a lot, always coming to visit your fiancé and share some words with him. It wasn't fair, he didn't deserve what happened to him, and you were still grieving the loss of the person you thought you'd spend your life with.

Suddenly, a small warm weight attached itself to your leg. You let out a small squeak of surprise as little arms wrapped around you, a small white haired boy was hugging your leg so very tight. He looked upset, hiding his face in you. All you could do was bend down to see if he was alright, making sure to shield him the best you could from the unrelenting rain.

You looked around the cemetary for a few moments, then back down at the boy. You wondered where his mother was, he seemed like he was alone. It was strange for a child to be alone in a cemetery, especially since it was more likely that he'd been brought by a parent to visit.

You bent down to console the little boy again, he was sniffling and crying while still hugging your leg. You gently scooped him up into your arms, letting him hug and snuggle into you as he needed. He couldn't have been more than 3 or 4 years old.

“Sorry about my son..” The wet grass behind you gave way with little squelches as another approached you. You heard the sound of a tired, raspy man's voice, then a small raspy chuckle.

You turned around to see who was there, and your eyes registered the sight of a man who, quite frankly, was just a grown up version of the little boy clinging to you. This must be his father, and man did they look so scarily similar. They must've been at the cemetery today to visit the boy's mother, oh no..
