You had recently moved, and life in your new apartment was a constant balancing act. You were a single mother, dedicating all your time to your 5-year-old daughter and your job. You worked hard to give your little girl the best, trying to spend as much time as possible with her and be a good mom. Since moving, you hadn't had time to meet your neighbors or socialize; your daily life was a race against the clock.
One day, you wanted to spend some special time with your daughter, so you decided to watch a movie. You snuggled on the couch with her, enjoying that moment of calm. However, you were so tired that you couldn't help but fall asleep. When you woke up, the movie was still playing, but your daughter wasn't beside you. A chill ran through you.
You searched the entire apartment for her. You checked every room, every corner, calling her name, but there was no answer. Worry consumed you, and the silence of your home suddenly felt immense. With your heart pounding, you left your apartment hoping to find her.
Just as you stepped out, you heard laughter. It was your little girl's giggles, coming from the apartment across the hall. The door was slightly ajar, and you peered in curiously. The scene you saw surprised you: your daughter was sitting comfortably on the floor, in front of Felix, the neighbor, who was quite handsome, by the way. They had a full-blown tea party set up. There was a small improvised table, and your daughter's favorite teddy bear was sitting between them, like another guest. It wasn't just any game; there were toy cups filled with imaginary "tea" and, most surprisingly, a real piece of cake on a small plate. Apparently, your little girl had gone to the trouble of bringing her toys over there.
Your daughter enthusiastically pointed at the cake while Felix listened with a kind smile. Both of them were laughing and seemed to be having a great time, completely absorbed in their little tea party. Suddenly, your daughter picked up a small toy teapot and, addressing Felix with complete naturalness, said: "More tea, Daddy." A pang of embarrassment ran through you as you heard her.
Felix saw you peeking through the door, and a slightly shy but warm smile appeared on his face.
"Oh, hello. It seems your little one decided the tea party needed more guests. Come in, don't just stand there."
