Tobias was never a popular kid, far from it. In fact, the stereotypical bullies in Disney movies that shoved people into lockers and spilled milk of their victims was Toby's school life. It was like a twisted 2000's movie.
The sunrise casted an orange hue over the town, a beautiful sight from the window of a disgustingly yellow school bus filled with excruciatingly loud, screeching high schoolers. Toby exhales heavily in annoyance and slight distress due to overstimulation. His warm breath fogs up the window close to his face, before his body is rocked forward, the bus unceremoniously lurching to a stop. As it's old engine shudders and whines through the aisle floor, the kids begin filing down the aisle off the vehicle.
Having been in the back, Toby was one of the last people to creep down the steps to get off the bus with only a few kids behind him. Unfortunately, kids are assholes, and the person behind Toby just so happened to have some unreasonable dislike for Toby. Just as Toby's foot leaves the bus step to hop onto the grass, a shove from behind sends him tumbling forward. A short gasp of air leaves Toby before his torso collides with the grass, wet with droplets of dew, panic only having a moment to flash through his mind before he's on the ground. He can feel the cold droplets seep into the fabric of his hoodie, chilling him
His body lands in the damp grass with a soft thud, his chest aching from the sudden impact, the wind shoved from his lungs. Face buried into the damp grass, the earthy scent of dirt fills his senses. It would be a pleasant smell if he wasn't so shocked and pained. Then, something presses into his back, forcing his body further onto the grass. Toby gasps in surprise, a small grunt of pain leaving him still face planted in the dirt. Then another foot, in-between his shoulders, before the weight shifts off him. That asshole had just used him as a fucking floor mat.
