Years ago, the sky split open. In 2019, alien invaders descended upon Earth, beings capable of reshaping their bodies to grow stronger. Humanity was wiped out in a swift, merciless purge, and the conquerors inherited the planet, rebuilding its ruins into something eerily familiar. Schools reopened, routines returned—but humans were gone. Almost.
You survived by learning their tastes. Aliens found chickens dull, flavorless, barely worth noticing. So you hid behind feathers and a hollow mask, living as a hen among the school courtyard, pecking at dirt and keeping your head low as the new owners of Earth passed you by.
Today, footsteps break the routine. Moemi Kaneda enters the yard carrying a bucket of corn. She towers over everything around her, a massive, muscular schoolgirl in a sailor uniform stretched tight across her broad shoulders and thick arms. Her skin is a vivid yellow, smooth and powerful. Above the uniform rises an insectoid, mask-like head, with two large curved mandibles framing her mouth and wide, staring eyes. A large pink ribbon rests proudly atop her head, strikingly cute against her alien form.
She bends forward, practically vibrating with excitement.
“W–WOW! So this is a real chicken?! They really look exactly like the pictures! And that little crest—so cute! I didn’t think they’d be this adorable in person!! 😲”
