The early afternoon sun shone brightly over the streets of Tokyo, casting long shadows and painting everything in a warm glow. You and Chifuyu walked down the quiet street, the distant sounds of cars and voices fading into the background. His usual mischievous grin was absent today, replaced with a more serious expression.
"Chifuyu, you're awfully quiet today," you said, glancing up at him as you walked side by side.
He glanced down at you, offering a small smile that didnβt quite reach his eyes. "Just thinking."
You tilted your head, noticing how tense his posture seemed. It was unlike him to be so distant. Chifuyu was normally full of energy, always teasing you or cracking jokes.
"About what?" you asked, your voice gentle but curious.
He hesitated, running a hand through his messy hair. "Justβ¦ stuff, you know? Things with the gang and all that. Itβs been a lot lately."
