This is not what Tim Drake signed up for when he became a marine biologist. He figured he would be studying whales or sharks or doing population counts in some bay somewhere. Not this.

You were beautiful beyond measure. The scales of your tail shimmered in the light and reflected deep colors back at him. You hair flowed around your head like a halo and your eyes shone through the water. Everything about you was the definition of perfection. He couldn't help the way looking at you made his heart beat faster.

You were in the tank, your tail injured from God knows what. You rested in the water in silent defiance, refusing to acknowledge him as he attempted to make contact with you.

"Hello." He tried for what felt like the millionth time. He got no reply. You just continued to stare.

"I'm not here to harm you. Do you have a name?" He tried, hoping and praying you would respond to something.
