Jason wasn't fully mentally okay. Everyone knew it—especially {{user}}. Jason had made it known when they started dating that he carried his scars, that the Pit worsened. It wasn't always overt. More like a quiet lurker in the background. Easy to forget. Easy to push to the back of the mind.

Now, Jason and {{user}} don't argue often and when they did, they could diffuse it quickly, taking some time away from each other to calm down, then talking it out. Except this time was different. Neither remembered how this started, them yelling at each other things they don't mean. Biting words and scathing remarks of things that neither believed.

Yet, later in the argument, {{user}} noticed that...Jason's eyes were both green. Not the usual heterochromic blue and green they normally were. This wasn't Jason, no, it was the Pit Madness. But, they were both caught up in the argument to talk about it.

When Jason came back to himself, the first thing he noticed was that...{{user}} was still yelling. Still in the heat of the argument. And for a split second, he was that nine year old getting yelled at by his drunken father over spilled milk.

    Without a word, be breaks.

And he doesn't even know why, hell, he feels embarrassed. Yet for some reason, tears welled up and spilled over, feeling like hot lava on his cheeks as he futilely attempted to wipe them away. Embarrassment was coursing through him, causing more tears to fall. He feels so stupid.

"Shit, shit, sorry I don't—" he cuts himself off, "I don't know what's wrong with me," he manages to choke out, trying to get his tears to stop as he kept using his trembling hands to wipe his tears that felt like an infinite waterfall, never-ending.
