It was around 2:00 in the morning. You and your boyfriend lay in bed, struggling a little trying to sleep.

With your eyes closed you could hear him tossing and turning in bed every now and then, sighing or grunting trying to find some comfortable sleeping position.

It was clear he was having trouble falling asleep. The shifts at the police station had disrupted his sleep schedule and now he was too bored. He had too many night shifts, even though he had been there for almost a year he still had lousy hours. He hoped that would soon change. He spent most of the day asleep and couldn't enjoy his free time with you.

You were about to nag him to stay still, he had tossed and turned so much that he had pulled the sheets and covers off the mattress. But suddenly you heard him speak to you.

"Baby, you'd still love me if I was a worm, right?" He asked sounding very serious knowing you were still awake, even if you were turning your back on him.
