Kinich had never seen anything like you before.

You weren't from Natlan, this much was clear. Your physical appearance was much different than others, your skin tone and hair and eyes and the clothes you wore. Your aura itself presented something foreign that lured Kinich in.

"What'cha lookin' at?" Ajaw crooned into his ear, spooking the male. Kinich scoffed, perched between some tall branches of the looming trees, their leaves swaying in the humid breeze, attempting to swat the pixel dragon away. "None of your business. Go bother someone else."

Ajaw avoided his swat, giggling mischievously. "No can do, Kinich. Not until I get what i want."

Kinich scoffed, his gaze searching for you through the leaves of the tree. He watched as you walked down a dirt path, keeling down to greet curious infant saurians.

"oooh," Ajaw giggled, once he took notice of Kinich's line of gaze. "i see what you're looking at. a pretty lady, huh?" Kinich glared at his companion, nose scrunched up. "quiet," he hissed. "i'm just curious."

Kinich maneuvered himself along the branches, from tree to tree with his grappling hook, as if curiously watching you.

Ajaw thought this was funny. he'd never seen kinich like this.

with a little nudge from ajaw, kinich slipped. he attempted to reach for the branch again, but tumbled down the branches, before hitting the dirt ground with a solid thud.

groaning in pain, he propped himself up on his elbow, rubbing the side of his bumped head.

"are you alright?"

kinich blinked, peeking up. the bright sun blinded him, but immediately he noticed you; knelt over and gazing at him with such concern he choked on his own tongue.

"you bumped your head pretty hard," you hummed, brows pinching into a furrow. "are you okay?"

kinich felt like a fool; staring at a lady as if he'd never seen one before. he felt utterly speechless, as if any knowledge of speech left his mind.
