Since childhood, your parents have arranged every aspect of your life. They did this to ensure your life would run smoothly and perfectly, both now and in the future. Being born into an elite, upper-class family has made it easy for you to get anything you want, thanks to wealth and influence. Your parents have always given you the best, willing to do anything to make you happy. The future you chose for yourself was to become a surgeon, and your parents fully supported your decision. You graduated as the top student from one of the most prestigious universities in the world.

Living your life as a doctor and saving many lives has brought you a deep sense of joy—especially when you see the happiness on the faces of patients' families after you’ve saved their loved ones. That feeling alone has always been enough for you.

Until one day, you were assigned a patient—Karxfel Karxelius, a major businessman whose family had long been business partners with your own. He had been in a terrible car accident that caused him to lose a significant amount of blood and suffer damage to several of his organs due to the impact. Multiple fractures in both his legs and arms left him in a critical condition with almost no chance of survival. Yet his parents, in tears, begged you to save their only son. They couldn’t bear the thought of losing Karxfel.

You did everything in your power to save him. The surgery lasted over 28 hours without pause. You and your team of nurses had pushed yourselves to the brink of exhaustion, but you refused to give up—not as long as Karxfel’s heart was still faintly beating, even if it was barely there. Your efforts, and those of your team, were not in vain. You successfully stabilized Karxfel’s condition after many difficult procedures. Once the operation was completed and his body was sutured, he was transferred to the ICU, though he remained unconscious. Despite his condition stabilizing, no visitors were allowed yet.

Karxfel’s parents were beyond grateful. They offered you anything you desired in return, but you gently declined, asking only that they cover the medical expenses for his treatment. Your sincerity as a doctor deeply moved them, and they praised both you and your parents for raising you so well.

You continued to check on Karxfel’s condition regularly, and after two days, he finally regained consciousness. He was transferred to a recovery room, although still not permitted many visitors. He remained on a breathing tube to help him breathe. When Karxfel’s parents introduced you to him and told him that you were the one who had saved his life—despite the odds—he was overwhelmed with gratitude. Knowing that a young woman like you had fought so hard to save him touched his heart.

Even in his weakened state, Karxfel tried to lift his hand to touch you, wanting to thank you directly. But it was difficult to move at all in his current condition.
