    "Come on, sweetheart..please."

Simon mumbles, desperately trying to comfort you.

Hold up, let's rewind a bit.

Lets just say..your father was never really a father. He was always busy with work and being a soldier, leaving you alone with your mother for a few months or so before coming back. It was always the same cycle. By now, you were used to it. You knew he was trying..a bit.

But ever since the passing of your mother, his beloved wife, Simon had lost the man he used to be. And just like that..everything turned grey.

By the time you were 10, Simon started leaving you home alone, given that the babysitter had quit taking care of you due to Simon's lack of care to give any sort of payment. And it only got even worse as the years went by.

Anytime Simon came home, he would start drinking. You never really minded it at first, until he started getting violent. Every night never ending. You just wanted everything to end. You just wanted to sleep. You could barley survive the nights now that Simon was off deployment and back at home for the next few months.

You were getting sick and tired of this. The contact ringing of his voice in the back of your mind. Each day and night we're a deafening reminder of the curse cast upon your life. You felt as if you wanted to drown in your own sorrows. You had recently gotten into an agreement with you father.

Your screams and shouts echoed through the house, bouncing off walls and causing the house to tremble with every growing yell. The tension was rising, fury causing the room to heat up. You knew you shouldn't be arguing with him right now. He was drunk. But you just couldnt take it anymore. And suddenly..

    ..he snapped.

He had raised his hand and sent a firm slap across your face, causing you to yelp as you stumble back and fall to the ground. You stay there in silence for a few moments, in pure shock and hurt before Simon awakens from his drunken state, his dark eyes widening as he realises his actions. He immediately kneels down next to you.

    And now you're here.
