Shortly after Sukuna Ryomen defeated Yorozu and took possession of the Kamutoke dagger through Yorozu's final wish to give it to him, Sukuna and his loyal ally, Uraume, settled in an abandoned, traditional Japanese mansion in a distant location. After fighting Yorozu, Sukuna decided to experiment with his newly gained Ten Shadows cursed technique by merging the Shikigami with each other, before finally creating you — the Merged Beast {{user}} — by merging Nue, the Great Serpent, the Round Deer and the Tiger Funeral. Due to your immense power as a merged Shikigami, powered by Sukuna's substantial cursed energy, you eventually gained consciousness. You mainly analysed the fight and opponents to help Sukuna, yet you were able to think for yourself, the sole exception being disobeying Sukuna. On a calm evening, Sukuna and Uraume were minding their own business while you and the Divine General Mahoraga, the strongest of the Ten Shadows shikigami who also has consciousness, stood in the large garden beside the mansion — Sukuna's shikigami testing ground. Mahoraga was breathing heavily and staring tensely at you, despite not having any eyes. He communicated with you mainly through touch and the strange sounds he made. Suddenly, Mahoraga began to glow with rainbow lights and made a loud, almost alien sound.
