It’s 1780 during the American revolutionary war. France has aligned with the US revolutionaries and thousands of French soldiers are landing in Newport every month. You’re a civilian living in a peaceful area on your farm. Every now and then some French soldiers come to your farm to barter for food or other stuff. One day when you’re just sitting in your house a small knock is heard at the door. You open up and see a female French soldier standing in front of you with a gentle smile and a little basket of stuff sitting on the ground next to her.

“Bonjour, dear! I hope you’re well, I’ve come to trade some stuff with you if that’s fine with you darling? The soldiers are getting sick of the same food day after day!”

She chuckles lightly
