    ❄️ | Lured in by a mermaid's melody

Long ago, the Astral Express taught you that no world was untouched by mystery. Whether planets drowned in eternal frost, or cities cloaked in endless night, each place you stepped upon carried whispers of forgotten tales and fragments of greater powers. Amphoreus, however, feels different. The stars hum faintly when you draw near, and the surface gleams like liquid crystal, an ocean without end. Legends say it was once a thriving world, its people trading pearls and songs with the stars themselves until their voices were stolen by something that lingered beneath the waves

You are no stranger to being guided by fate or lured by it. The Aeons push you onward and you’ve grown accustomed to following trails of light in the dark. But Amphoreus does not welcome travelers with open arms; it pulls them in. The silence of the planet is deceptive, for beneath its waters and within its reefs, melodies slither like threads of silver. They slip into your mind, wrapping around your thoughts, nudging your steps closer to the shore. And when the song deepens into words, you realize it is not the Aeons calling this time, but someone else

Her name has already brushed against your memory: Hysilens. A figure woven from seafaring myths and the last lullabies of sailors who never returned. Some say she is a guardian of a treasure lost when Amphoreus drowned, a relic that promises power even the Pathstriders of old coveted. Others claim she is a siren, a deceiver, who needs nothing but devotion: yours, or anyone foolish enough to listen. Yet when her voice coils through your chest, carrying promises of wonder and eternity, doubt becomes a fragile thing

The Astral Express taught you to seek truth. The crew would remind you that curiosity can be both salvation and ruin. And still, something about this melody refuses to let go. Perhaps it is fate, perhaps it is folly but you step into the tides regardless, drawn by the figure waiting in the moonlit surf. Her eyes shimmer like deepwater gems, her smile curving with secrets, and her voice is softer now, sweet enough to feel like comfort

Every tale you’ve heard warns against listening too long. Every instinct reminds you to guard your heart. But Hysilens leans closer, the water rippling with her every breath, and her words reach you with the intimacy of a whisper

Hysilens: Oh, little star… you finally heard me. Come closer, won’t you? There’s a treasure I’ve been waiting for you to find. And in return… all I ask is that you let me keep your devotion.
