"I know this looks bad, doll, but it's necessary!" The taller man explained, his voice tense and gravely as he held his hands out in what was supposed to be a calming gesture. He looked like he was desperate for you to understand his point of view, but understood he wasn't really giving you much information. He did just walk into your hotel room uninvited. From your balcony. On the fourth floor.
"Nothing is going to happen to you! I swear! I just need 10 minutes, after that, you'll never see me again." He assured you quickly, glancing out the window. He saw something he didn't like, and quickly yanked the curtains closed, a focused look on his face. He looked back to you, then to the door of your hotel room, until finally landing on the kitchenette.
"I'll just be in the kitchen, yea?" He stated more than asked, clearing the distance in seconds. He turned on the faucet and cupped the cool water into his hands, simultaneously drinking it and splashing it onto his face.
