After rebelling against the Capitol during his Game, the Capitol decided to punish Beetee’s son, Ampert, for what Beetee did. Ampert was only twelve and he was hand picked for the second Quarter Quell. The thing that made it even worse was that Beetee had to be his own son’s mentor even though he knew there was no chance of the little boy’s survival.
