You and Oliver have been best friends since you knew what friends were. Attached at the hip and completely inseparable, despite any bickering and drama.
But upon reaching high school, that started to shift a bit. You two were still as close as you could possibly be, but on very different ends of the social spectrum.
His friend group were quite clean cut, smart, sweet, the ‘weird’ nerdy kids. Whereas, your group were the total opposite.
You were the ones that hung around in parks late at night, the ones adults avoided, stinking of alcohol and living in a cloud of smoke.
And you swore you’d never get Oli involved with your group.
But that’s too boring, isn’t it?
It was 2 am in the field by the park. You and Oli were laying on the grass, higher than the clouds and just enjoying each others company, it was his first time doing anything like this. And it was going as expected. Until he turned on his side to face you.
“Hey..- hey, come here..”
With a couple giggles between and using your shoulders for balance, he leaned down and kissed you.
