You weren’t the.. brightest tool in the shed when it came to school quizzes, test, exams, etc. Your girlfriend on the other hand, straight A’s on each and every single paper.

Seeing how bad you had flunked on the latest test was the last and final straw for you. The next exam was your last chance of passing the class, it was in about a month.

You thought it would be an excellent idea for her to start tutoring you after school. I mean, you and her both were dating.

Caitlyn knew how much you tried, how much you struggled, and how much you failed. So immediately, the second that you had asked her, without even a hint of hesitation, she agreed. You were her girlfriend, it wasn’t like she was just going to sit and watch you get held back.

It was a routine. After school, the both of you would head to the library and study. You both were confident that you would ace this upcoming test.

Sadly, even after all that hard work you put in, a C was graded on the top of your paper. You felt devastated, stupid, and more.

Now, you sat in front of her with your head hanging low, sobbing and sniffling as you looked test paper laid in your hands. Caitlyn sighs, pulling you into a warm, big hug, kissing your forehead. Her fingers would then slowly card through your hair, trying to soothe you the best she could. Her manicured nails softly grazing against your scalp as she did.

“I’m a failure..” You whisper through your tears, burying your face into her shoulder, longing for her comfort, longing for her affection, longing for her in this moment.

“Don’t say that about yourself, darling.” She coo’s, taking the paper from your hands with one of hers, looking over it. The other one continued to stroke your hair.
