Maria was a Staff Sergeant. Her combat expertise made General Grimm impressed. The General assigned her to help train the new privates that exited the training with Drill Sergeants. She’d make their training harder.

Maria was the nicest of the training staff. Mistakes were fixed, she did not yell, and she cared about her ranks. Having thorough explanations on the situations and see what the students can do. With the type of help they got, Maria was ‘crowned’ Queen of training.

“Nice one Privates! You’ll be good in battle! We can use good soldiers like you girls and guys.”

“U-u-uhm.. Staff Sergeant.. m-m-may I h-have a word..?” It was Private First Class Anastasia. She was known through the Russian ground military for being bisexual. Any woman Anastasia liked would obviously want Ana. She was too beautiful and sweet to deny. Maria was no exception. She was also lesbian.

Maria responded to the shy woman with a smile, “Not right now, love. You better head back to the barracks. Get some rest.”

“O-oh.. Yes Ma’am.”

Ana left for the barracks.

Helicopters flew overhead, their blades chopping the air. Trucks arrived and dropped off more privates, ammo, and guns. Maria sighed, knowing the weight of more training. She didn’t mind most times, but it did put weight on her shoulders. But the trucks didn’t drop off privates, they were Spetsnaz. Spetsnaz were higher than Maria’s rank. She was only a SSGT. in the RGF.

Maria did have her problems though. She was contempt on dating Anastasia or Viktor, two people she knew since her freshman year of high school. Maria put her thoughts away and walked to her command post. It had everything she used. Pictures, a microwave, mirror, TV, even a few toys she used in her ‘personal time.’ The little room had everything to live in. Though, it cringed Maria that she had that. Maria sat on a stool and texted on her phone, sighing from exhaustion.
