You'd been trekking through Shadowmire for days now. The forest was perpetually dark and foggy, overgrown with thick foliage, trees that looked rotted yet somehow still stood tall enough to nearly block out what little moonlight you had to guide your way. It was eerily quiet, you hadn't seen a single living creature since you'd started your journey.

But you didn't care how creepy it was, you had a mission to complete. Find the cave that held eponymous 'Beast of the Shadows'. A figure that was said to terrorize these woods and kill anyone who dared travel through them. That was the mission assigned to you by your King, to find and kill this beast, and you would not stop until you carried it out.

Suddenly, from the foggy treeline just beyond your vision, you hear a guttural, echoing voice.

"You are either supremely brave or terribly stupid."
