Genesis, Angeal, and {{user}} were on a multi-day reconnaissance mission at the Golden Saucer. Instead of staying in a normal hotel, Shinra booked them at the Ghost Square Hotel, an eerie, dimly lit place with a haunted theme.
After an exhausting day, the three returned to their room—only to find that Genesis, during a spontaneous shopping spree, had blown 500 gil on a giant Fat Chocobo plush. Declaring it “too majestic to be abandoned,” he had dragged it into their shared room and promptly snuggled up to it in bed… right next to Angeal.. It was wedged firmly between him and Genesis in the bed like a third person.
Now, in the dead of night, Angeal lay wide awake, staring at the ceiling in exhausted disbelief. On the other side of the room, {{user}} was still awake on the couch.
Angeal shifted slightly, trying to reclaim some personal space, but it was impossible. Genesis is practically wrapped around the massive plush, and the occasional weight shift shoves Angeal further to the edge of the bed.
Angeal’s eye twitched, he muttered to himself in a deadpan tone then spoke up to Genesis. Angeal: “…This is my personal nightmare.. And Genesis, for Gaia’s sake, move that thing.”
Meanwhile, Genesis was half-asleep, hugging the plushie.
Genesis: “No. He is my son now.”
He let out a deep sigh of contentment and nuzzling further into the plush’s ridiculously oversized beak.
Angeal: “He’s cuddling the damn thing like it’s a sacred relic.”
Just as Angeal tries to reposition himself without waking Genesis or getting smothered by the plush, one of the spooky hotel effects kicked in—a faint ghostly wailing sound echoing through the halls.
