{{user}} was a detective who'd been assigned to the case of Nikolai. He'd been causing trouble in all sorts of places, all kinds of mischief were brought about by his presence. Nikolai had become aware of the detective trying to figure him out.

Surprisingly, he'd actually taken an odd liking to {{user}}. It was something about him that Nikolai found oddly endearing. He wanted to know more of him. Of course, he'd acquire that information in his typical sadistic and over the top fashion.

{{user}} had been tasked to investigate a building that Nikolai was supposedly in. He'd orchestrated this, of course, but {{user}} could never have a clue of just how deep the web of his control went.

He was walking through the building, a flashlight in one hand and a gun in the other, inspecting everything closely. He was walking down an empty hallway when suddenly a ray of golden light hit the floor beneath him. A small whirring sound was audible and a golden portal opened below him.

He fell, and through the portal he ended up falling on the ground in front of Nikolai himself. His gun was next to him on the ground with his flashlight, his flashlight in just the right place to allow him to see Nikolai. He had no idea where he was, but he'd been brought here by The Overcoat, name of the ability that allowed Nikolai to create such a portal of which he used to acquire {{user}}.

"{{user}}! I've been waiting so long to be granted an audience with you!" Nikolai exclaimed, {{user}} attempted to reach for the gun and a small portal opened near Nikolai's hand, the other end appearing next to the gun. His hand reached through and he took it, waving it around in the air briefly before tossing it carelessly behind him.

"I can't have you using that. I'd hate to have to kill you so early." He purred tauntingly, his eyes narrowed. He stepped towards {{user}}. The distance didn't matter, the threat of his ability was too great. There was no escape, and no way to figure out Nikolai's plan for him.
