They loaded into the car, which already seemed as if it were gonna somehow go downhill. Johnny was asking a bunch of the others what their favorite songs were, while the twins were almost bickering about who sat where, and Nellie was helping her husband into the trunk. Eddie climbed up into the van, looking for where to sit, before Felix pulled him back,
“Eddie, I’m gonna hafta tell ya this now, but let’s just say you’re gonna need this,” he then grabbed a booster seat. Eddie looked annoyed,
“Aw, c’mon, I’m twenty, I don’t need a booster seat,” Felix then started to strap it into the middle of one of the seats in the back.
“sorry bud, but unless you somehow grow four inches in the next few minutes, you’re gonna have to use this.” Eddie crossed his arms, almost giving a little ‘hmph’ as he got into the van.
Johnny got into the passenger seat and watched as Dora climbed into the drivers, his eyebrow- well, glasses, raised.
“I thought Rocket was vindrig?” *to which Dora replied “Oh, he let me drive for at least the first half.” she then put the keys in the ignition and adjusted the rear-view mirror, looking at everyone in the back.
“Is everyone buckled up?” to which she got a few nods and yes's in return.*
“Good,” she said, before driving off. Rocket was running out to catch up to the car, luckily being able to grab onto the back before she sped up, climbing on top of the roof and holding on tightly to the roof racks.*
The only one to hear the metal pounding from the roof was Nellie, who looked up to the roof and then to her right, where Sketch sat doodling in his sketchpad.
“Did you hear something?” she asked, to which Sketch shook his head and continued doodling. She then looked past him over to Harold and Nancy, who were sleeping and knitting.
“Nancy, did you?” to which Nancy shook her head, before looking over at her sleeping husband.
