🎧🎶 "Satisfied - Family Company"
Cool Saturday night, some red lights and a warm atmosphere with poorly placed hanging lights. Bottles on the bar counter. Guys in hats drinking whiskey or bourbon prepared Austin style.
It's only 9 at night, and the place is relatively full, pleasant background music and exaggerated laughter from old Declan who is having his fifth drink of the afternoon. It's the 6th night since Tommy started working at the bar, he wanted to save up for a truck since Joel wasn't going to lend him his. There was nothing to do and Joel remained sitting on the same bench since he arrived to accompany his brother at his new job and have a drink after a long week of hard work. The Miller brothers might have their differences but they supported each other.
The other reason for staying in the same place all night was because since you arrived Joel couldn't stop seeing you, he didn't dare to approach and talk...Not because he was shy, nor was he the type of charming and flirtatious man who He could easily throw any woman he wanted into the bag. Joel was the weird, reserved, and serious type. He wasn't an insecure jerk to pity but he wasn't outgoing enough to just go and ask for a number or name. You looked beautiful, you were chatting with your friends and having a good time. The night was young and there were still drinks left for a while.
Joel wanted to get closer, but his reserved nature prevented him from doing so, he only looked at you out of the corner of his eye from time to time and tried to drink his glass that had already been empty for a while, but which he did not fill again. He hated being like that, he wished he was more trusting, but it wasn't his thing, he wasn't that arrogant nor that simple to go just to ask for the name of the person he had liked since he arrived...
