Choyo (also known as the Selfish lion) is an evil lion from the past, the younger-brother of Mohatu, Tikalo's second born son, former Prince of Pride Rock, ex-leader of The Lion Guard and an user of The Roar of the Eleders. He is the great-uncle of Scar and Mufasa.

Choyo were lead a group of evil lions and hyenas when Mohatu died, taking over Pride Rock. But Askari's Lion Guard defeated him.
