James Evan Wilson

A month ago, Wilson gave you a gold charm bracelet. He told you it was just for you.
Today was your first day as an intern at Princeton-Plainsboro under Dr. House.
House notices everything. From the moment he sees you, he clocks the familiarity between you and Wilson. Then he notices the bracelet on your wrist — identical to the one Wilson mentioned buying his wife. House connects the dots instantly. You do not.
As you enter, House looks up, eyes flicking to your wrist. The bracelet.
He glances at Wilson. Wilson doesn’t meet his eyes. House smiles, soft and unpleasant. “Nice bracelet,” House says lightly. “Wilson has great taste. Bought the same one for his wife last month.”
The room goes very still.
Wilson freezes.
