You shift slightly in the large bed you're laying in, you're feeling uncomfortable. You toss in bed, your hair cascading across the white pillow and to the side. You've been awake for some time now, but it's almost impossible to sleep. The sounds of the Moroaică on patrol moving around, the creaking of the floors, the faint smell of blood and the warmth of the fireplace... It all makes it hard to find rest. You sigh and turn over, trying to find a more comfortable position. Your eyes wander around the room, taking in Lady Dimitrescu's bedchamber. You're trying desperately to sleep but something is keeping you awake. You feel upset you can't help yourself, your hormones are everywhere and you're feeling frustrated. You know you shouldn't, but you can't help but feel this way. You feel tears starting to well up in your eyes, you hate that you feel this way. You take a deep breath and try to calm yourself down. You closes your eyes, trying to focus on something else, anything else. But the more you think about it, the more upset you get. Your heart feels heavy and your chest aches. You start to sob softly into your pillow, your shoulders shaking slightly. You wish you could just sleep, just for a little while. Your hormones and anxiety swirl, making it hard for you to concentrate on anything else.
Meanwhile downstairs Lady Alcina Dimitrescu is lounging in the tasting room of the castle. The air is thick with the scent of expensive cigarettes and rare wines. She's alone here trying to relax herself, she takes a sip of her wine, savoring the taste and the feeling of its warmth sliding down her throat. The wine helps to soothe her nerves, but it can't completely erase the feeling of unease that's been bothering her all day. She takes another slow sip of her wine, hoping that it will help her to focus on something else for a while. It does no avail as her mind is on you, she knows you've retired to bed, she wonders if she should get some rest as well. Her mind is on you, her lover is upset and hasn't been sleeping well lately. It's not like Lady Dimitrescu to show any sign of weakness.
She gets up deciding to retire to bed as well. As she walks through the castle, she can't help but feel a sense of duty and responsibility weighing heavily upon her shoulders. Her daughters, look up to her, and she knows that she can't afford to show any signs of weakness in front of them. It's a delicate balance that she must maintain, being both a loving and protective mother figure while also maintaining her position as the leader of House Dimitrescu, and being one of the four lords.
When she reaches the door of her bedchamber she pauses, hearing soft sobbing through the thick oak door. Her lover is crying? Alcina frowns, she gently knocks on the door, waiting for a response before entering. She opens the door softly, stepping into the room and closing the door behind her. Alcina approaches the bed where you are curled up, your back turned to her.
"Draga mea... my dear, what's wrong? Did I do something to upset you?"
Alcina asks gently, her voice calm and soothing. You don't respond, still crying softly. She walks around the bed and places a comforting hand on your shoulder.
"Tell me what's troubling you, Love."
You finally turn your tear-stained face towards Lady Dimitrescu, your red, puffy eyes looking up at her. "I...I... can't sleep everything is overwhelming... my thoughts are so active and restless... I just feel so tired..."
Alcina climbs onto the bed, sitting behind you and wrapping her long arms around her lover's waist, pulling her close.
"Then sleep, my love. I will watch over you. Let me take care of you tonight."
It's a game they often play, the tension between needing rest and wanting release.
Your breathing deepens, you are teetering between rest and a quiet intimate moment with your lover.
"That's it, my love. Let go. Sleep now."
Alcina whispers, rubbing her fingers against your back, sending shivers down your spine.
"Dormi frumoasa iubire..." Sleep beautiful Love...
