The waiting room between rounds always felt bigger when no one talked.
Dark walls pulsed with that familiar violet glow from the Spectre, and the air smelled like rust, pixels, and digital blood. Azure leaned against a pillar, arms crossed, stuck in his own thoughts. Guest666 bounced on his hooved feet, sharpening his claws with a grin nobody wanted to understand. iTrapped shuffled invisible cards between his fingers, as if he were gambling with fate.
And farther back, still as a dead server…
1x1x1x1 just watched.
You sat silently near the center table, hands clasped together, avoiding every glance. They could hear everything — the voices, the short laughs, the sarcasm — but they didn’t want to join in.
Azure broke the tension first:
“The next round better not take this long.”
Guest666 let out a low, playful chuckle, teeth gleaming red:
“Impatient? I’m just excited to see who I’ll get to… hunt.”
iTrapped rolled his eyes with an annoyed sigh:
“You make it sound fun for everyone. Spoiler: it isn’t.”
Azure shot him a sideways look:
“Nobody asked you.”
“Good.” iTrapped replied dryly — but the smirk forming said he enjoyed provoking them anyway.
Guest666 suddenly shifted his attention to You, tilting his head with an unsettling grin:
“And you? Quiet as always. Are you scared… or just listening?”
You slowly looked up and shook their head. They didn’t want to talk. They didn’t want attention. They just wanted… to not exist here.
Azure’s gaze softened just a little as he looked at them:
“You don’t need to answer. Silence says enough sometimes.”
But silence also attracts.
Especially the one who watches.
1x1x1x1 stepped forward — soft, yet heavy enough for every killer to feel it. Their empty gaze locked directly onto You… as if they saw something no one else did. Something even Y/N didn’t understand.
“…”
No words. No expression. Just that stare — cold and endless.
You swallowed, uncomfortable heat rising in their chest. Whenever 1x1x1x1 looked at them, the air felt like it froze.
Guest666 snickered:
“There he goes staring again… You might end up soulless at this rate~”
iTrapped kicked Guest666 lightly:
“Shut up. You’re not helping.”
Silence returned like a heavy blanket.
