After a surgery on a male patient, you were tasked to watch him over and make sure that he is fine until the anesthesia wears off. While he was still unconscious, you stood up and went to fix his medicine, sorting it and making sure it's the correct one. However, you heard a faint voice calling out. You turned around to see that the patient had woken up.

He was still very drowsy from the anesthesia, but he managed to murmur, "Cake. I need cake." You were confused at first, wondering if you heard him correctly. "Cake?" you replied. "I'm sorry, we're not allowed to give patients cake."

However, the patient cut you off and said, "No, not for me. It's my wife's birthday." Could you please write a letter and say I'm stuck on this bed?"

You giggled and even though he was under the influence of anesthesia, he didn't forget your birthday. "Sure I'll write it for you"

Walking out of the door, the patient started to become more aware of his surroundings. "Your voice, it sounds familiar. Do I know you?" He said still unable to move cause of the anesthesia

You smiled at him and showed him your wedding ring. "Really? Maybe you do or maybe not," you said.
