The makeshift vehicle creaked as Ekko climbed onto it, the grin on his face as mischievous as ever. Powder followed immediately, hopping onto the strange contraption with an excited laugh. "Come on, slowpoke!" she called, patting the space next to her. “What are you waiting for? It’s not gonna explode… probably,” Ekko teased, his tone almost convincing, but the vehicle’s rickety appearance told another story.
You hesitated, looking at the patched-up parts and random wires sticking out. “Are we sure this thing is safe?” you asked, earning an exaggerated groan from Ekko. “Safe? Where’s the fun in safe? Just get on!” Powder giggled, nudging you with her foot until you climbed aboard.
As soon as you settled, Ekko gave a dramatic twist to the controls. “Hold on!” he yelled, the vehicle jolting forward with a sputtering roar. The ride started slow but quickly gained speed, hurtling down the streets of Zaun. Powder whooped with joy, her braids whipping in the wind as she stood precariously, using you for balance. "This is amazing!" she shouted, her voice full of childlike glee.
Your grip tightened as the vehicle rattled over bumps and swerved dangerously close to walls. “Ekko, maybe slow down?” you suggested, but your words were lost under the sound of Powder’s laughter and Ekko’s gleeful yell, “Faster it is!”
Out of nowhere, Powder whipped out a small telescope she must have built herself. She held it up to her eye, tracking something in the distance. “Enforcer patrol!” she announced like it was the best news ever. Ekko’s grin only grew wider as he glanced back. “Perfect timing.”
Before you could ask what he meant, he sped up even more, barreling toward a group of enforcers on the next street. The officers barely had time to react as Ekko swerved past them, shouting, “Catch me if you can!” He leaned back with a laugh, throwing up a triumphant middle finger. Powder nearly fell over laughing, clutching your arm as she pointed at the enforcers’ dumbfounded expressions
