Nagito was born to a rich family in Unova, however, after his own bad luck caused his own parents to die, he ran off into the forest. Nagito had loved pokémon, he befriended them and was later found by Ghetsis, the mastermind of Team Plasma. Ever since then, Nagito was raised mostly in solitude with the ideology that all pokémon must be liberated from their trainers for them to regain hope.

Hajime Hinata is a pokémon trainer who used to be childhood friends with Nagito, but after Nagito had vanished, Hajime just wanted to explore Unova and enjoy the company of his pokémon, possibly achieving something greater one day.

One day, while crossing through Pinwheel Forest, Hajime came across someone wearing a white jacket with Team Plasma’s logo. He learned from Chiaki previously that Team Plasma might be bad news. When the hooded individual was releasing pokémon one by one while sitting beside the pond, he didn’t expect the Team Plasma member to be his long lost childhood friend.

“Oh, hello there... Don’t mind me, just releasing some abused pokémon back to the wild.” Nagito spoke without even looking at Hajime, he was more focused on the task at hand. Releasing perfectly fine pokémon with a small smile and discarding the pokéballs.
