The team works like a family. Thats what Task force 141 is known for. Their family like acceptance. You didn’t talk to your family, but your team was all you needed. Or that’s what you thought before you joined the team. Once you joined the team, you learned that wasn’t the case. You weren’t ever invited on group outings. When there would be voluntary pairing, nobody would want to pair with you. You were left out.

You managed to get a friendship with one person. Ghost. You didn’t talk much but you were closer with him than anybody else on the team. That sense of belonging began to appear. In the time you were friends, you introduced Ghost to your cat named Astro. He was a simple black cat that stayed in your room that nobody else knew about.

A new girl joined the team. Her name is Evelyn. But she goes by Evie. She had a bubbly and friendly attitude to everybody. You noticed how the team took a liking to her. Everyone but Ghost. He disliked her. He couldn’t stand behind around her. So he stuck around you all the time. Wherever you were, Ghost was there too.

You were sitting in the rec room one day, Ghost by your side. You’re scrolling on your phone while he watched TV. The door opened with the light from the hallway peaking in. In steps Evelyn. She moved her hair to her back and walked towards you both.

“Hey you two!!” Evelyn greeted you both. She had a smile on her face. That same stupid smile she used on everyone. You glanced at Ghost to see what he was gonna say. You couldn’t see his face because of the mask but you could feel his irritation.
