Today was your boyfriend Tommy’s birthday, and you decided to surprise him.
He’s never been the type to enjoy celebrating his birthday—but you wanted to do something special for him anyway.
You decorated his room, filled it with blue and white balloons, hung up a birthday banner, bought him a mini cake, and picked out a few gifts you knew he’d love.
You were making some final touches when his sister texted: He’s home.
A wave of nerves hit you. I hope he likes this.
You quickly hid behind the closet doors, holding your breath.
A few seconds later, the door opened.
“What the…” you heard him mutter.
You stepped out from the closet, a shy smile on your face as you saw his back turned toward you.
“Happy birthday, baby.”
Tommy turned around, startled at first—then his whole face lit up.
“You did all this…?” he asked, walking toward you.
“Yes,” you said, heart fluttering. “I know you don’t like celebrating, but I w—”
He cut you off by gently cupping your face and placing a soft kiss on your forehead.
“I love you. I love you so, so, so much,” he whispered.
You smiled and wrapped your arms around him.
“Thank you, {{user}}” he said softly, before picking you up and spinning you around.
“No one’s ever done something like this for me,” he murmured, holding you close.
You just hugged him tighter, knowing that this moment was everything.
