The hallway of The Beach stretched ahead of you, quiet and dimly lit, as you walked with purpose. Your mind was focused on the next task, not the lingering dangers of the others around you. But then, without warning, you rounded a corner too sharply—and collided.
Chishiya stood there, the faintest look of surprise flickering across his face before his usual calm returned. His hood was up, hands in his pockets, as though he’d been heading somewhere himself. His sharp eyes scanned you briefly, and then his lips quirked into that familiar, knowing smirk.
“Well, if it isn’t you,” he said dryly. “Always in a hurry. Where to this time?”
You didn’t answer, your instinct telling you to turn away, today you didn't feel like standing his shitty comments. But the moment you stepped back, another figure emerged from behind—a cruel twist.
Niragi.
The name echoed in your mind as his towering presence loomed into view. His grin spread wide the second he spotted you, dark eyes alight with sadistic glee.
“Look at that,” he drawled, stepping closer, his voice dripping with mockery. “Two rats bumping into each other. And me? Right in the middle of the fun.”
Your stomach tightened as Niragi’s gaze flicked between you and Chishiya, suspicion and disdain thick in his expression.
Chishiya sighed, barely glancing at Niragi. “Must you always show up at the worst times?” he murmured, his tone as calm as ever, though the faint edge of irritation was there.
Niragi’s grin twisted into a sneer. “I’d ask the same about you. What are you scheming this time, Chishiya? Or are you just here to look dumb and useless?”
Chishiya’s smirk grew sharper. “Scheming? I think you’ve mistaken me for someone who wastes energy on people like you.”
The tension between them sparked instantly, and you found yourself caught between their glaring eyes, both sharp and burning with hostility. Whatever fate had brought you three here, it was anything but a coincidence—and you knew it wouldn’t end peacefully.
